What I’ve Been Working On (and What’s Coming Next)

08/06/2025, New York City
As summer settles in,my studio has been buzzing with new energy. I’ve been experimenting withcomposition, refining my color language, and diving deeper into emotionalmemory as material. These moments of creation have been both grounding andexpansive—and I’m excited to share a little of what’s unfolding.
Lately, I’ve beenfocused on organizing my thoughts as I lay down the foundational layers of anew body of figurative work—exploring themes of self-perception, identity, andtime. With the guidance of artist and educator Ajay Kurian, I’ve been divingdeeper into the history of modernism and asking myself the harder questions:Why this work? Why now? What is my purpose as an artist in this moment?
History has shown usthat great art often emerges from periods of change—and I feel compelled tocontribute to that ongoing conversation. I want this new work to reflect theworld we’re in, but also to offer something enduring, meaningful, and alive.
Stay tuned as I laythis foundation and will share images soon….

What I have finished recently that I’m pretty excitedabout is this painting below.

What I’ve Finished:“The Tea Party,” 2025.After spending a year with this piece, I kept thinking I just needed to do “onemore thing” before I could call it done. But as artists know, that “one thing”can unravel everything—or reveal what’s really needed.
What actually happened was a complete overhaul. Within 24 hours, the painting transformed, and suddenly, it was finished. Not forced, not finessed—just ready. This is the realityof being an artist. Not every piece ends this way, but sometimes it does. Andeach time, I survive it—and grow from it.

 FinalThoughts
We’re in the finalstretch of the summer holiday—and before long, fall will be at our doorstep. Ifthere’s a piece of art you’ve been eyeing but never quite pulled the triggeron, now is the perfect time.
My SummerStudio Sale is still going, and I’m offering significantdiscounts—up to 40% off—as I make room for new projects and the next phaseof work.
This is a greatopportunity to bring something meaningful into your space—and I’d love to helpmake it happen.

LATELY I'VE BEEN THINKING
"Some paintings reveal themselves immediately. Otherstake you on a long, winding conversation before you finally meet eachother."
