Two Decades in the Making
Hello friends —
As January comes to a close, I wanted to share two upcoming events that feel especially meaningful as I step into a new chapter of my work.
- Upcoming Events –
Opening Reception:
Time and Transformation
A Retrospective of Works, 2007–2026
Thursday, February 6
5:00–7:00 PM
Cohen East Gallery · GoggleWorks
This exhibition brings together nearly two decades of my large-scale work, tracing the evolution of my visual language—from early abstraction, through abstract expressionism, and into more recent figurative abstraction.
What you’ll see is not just a shift in style, but a reflection of time, experimentation, and lived experience—how one body of work informs the next.
Cocktails and refreshments will be served. I would love to see you there.
Art Workshop: Gesture to Abstraction
Saturday, February 7
This workshop marks the first in a three-part series kicking off the year with the essential energy of gesture—movement, intuition, and mark-making as a foundation for abstraction.
There are two spots remaining in this intimate, hands-on session. It’s designed to be fun, relaxing, and deeply rewarding—whether you’re looking to enhance an existing art practice or explore a creative path you’ve always been curious about.
No experience is necessary, and all materials are provided.
A note from the studio:
Teaching workshops has opened an unexpected and exciting door in my own practice. Through guiding others—especially in my Color Field work on paper—I’ve found myself exploring a new form of painting that asks for patience, restraint, and trust in organic form and color.
Every creative experience we have becomes part of the field we draw from. Each step—whether familiar or new—adds depth to our visual language.
Even seasoned artists can learn something powerful when we step into new spaces and create alongside others. And for those who have never felt they had an artistic bone in their body—these workshops are very much for you, too.
Creativity belongs to all of us.
LATELY, I’VE BEEN THINKING…
“Art has a way of connecting us to something larger than ourselves.
Through color and form, we explore the worlds within us—
and in that exploration, transformation begins.”
Until next time,
