A New Kind of Freedom

04/16/2026, New York City
There’s something that shifts when you do the thing you’ve been working toward—
not once, but twice.
Over the past two years, I’ve had the experience of completing two solo exhibitions.
And somewhere in that process, something settled in me.
Not in a way that feels finished—
but in a way that feels… free.
Free from needing to prove anything.
Free from holding onto what worked before.
Free from the pressure of outcome.
What’s left is something much quieter, and much more powerful:
permission.
Permission to follow what’s pulling at me now.
Permission to explore without needing it to land.
Permission to let the work evolve in ways I don’t fully understand yet.
Over the past two weeks in the studio, I’ve been leaning into that.
I’ve found myself completely fascinated by unexpected color—
mixing combinations that shouldn’t work, and letting them lead.
At the same time, I’ve been going back into older paintings—
not to erase them, but to work with them.
Layering over what already exists.
Letting the past remain present.
Allowing something richer, more complex, and more honest to emerge through it.
There’s a maturity in that process that I can feel—
a kind of depth that only comes from time, from repetition, from staying in it long enough.
It feels like something is opening.
And I’m following it.
Stay tuned… there’s more new work coming soon.
If this kind of exploration resonates with you, or if you know someone who might enjoy being part of this world—
feel free to forward this along.
There’s something special about growing this in a way that feels personal, shared, and connected.

Upcoming Workshop — A Few Spots Left

Painting Emotion: From Feeling to Canvas
Saturday, April 25
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Wyomissing, PA
This workshop is about translating something internal into something visual.
Through a series of guided exercises, I’ll lead you into your own emotional landscape—
and show you how to move that into color, form, and composition.
You’ll work on canvas, and you’ll leave with a finished piece that feels personal, expressive, and entirely your own.
No experience needed—just a willingness to explore.
A few spots are still open.
Reserve your place or learn more here.

LATELY, I’VE BEEN THINKING…

Art events and workshops are for anyone at any level.
We learn from each other in the process—and being together in a creative space adds a layer of richness you simply can’t access alone.”

Until next time,
